INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
6.
We recommend predrilling the wire hole and holes for the
m o u n t i n g s c r e w s t o p r e v e n t s c r a c k i n g i n t h e s u r r o u n d i n g
material. Use a drill bit that is smaller than the screw
to ensure the screw will hold. If passing wire through
and making connection under a post cap or below your
decking, use a 1/4” drill bit.
TIP: Run wire through post and double check mounting
screw placement before predrilling these holes.
7.
Thread the wire from the fixture through 1/4” hole and run it
where it needs to go. Install the fixture in place using mounting
screws.
NOTE: For the Hourglass light,
you will install mounting screws first and slide light down post to meet screws
and secure mounting. If it is not a tight fit, remove the fixture and slightly tighten
screws on the post.
8.
Cut and snip fixture wires and main wires to comfortable working
length. Then connect with a UL-approved silicone filled wire-nut. Be
sure at least 7/16” of copper wire is exposed and wire nuts are on
securely. Loose connectors can arch, causing fixture failure or fire.
NOTE: Silicone-filled wire nuts are not included with fixture.
