the grout joints with a white scrub pad, rinse and allow to dry. DO
NOT use undiluted bleach or other harsh chemicals. The use of
“No Rinse” and/or acid base cleaners are not recommended.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Read and understand this technical data sheet and associated
material safety data sheet completely before beginning. Always
use protective clothing (gloves and eye protection) when working
with grout. When installing tile, follow applicable ANSI, TCNA and
NTCA installation standards.
CURE TIME & PROTECTION
1. Humidity, more than tempetarure, affects the rate at which

Fast Tile
™
Grout
cures. The lower the humidity, the
faster the cure.
2. Always protect the grout and ooring installation from
construction spills, debris and other construction trafc.
Under normal conditions, light foot trafc is acceptable after
24 hours; construction and heavy foot trafc after 72 hours.
3. Let cure at least 72 hours before exposure to food stains.
4. For ANY area that will later receive intermittent water
exposure, allow the area to cure 3 days.
5. Wait 7 days before exposing grouted area to household
cleaners (see Chemical Resistance Properties Table).
6. Protect outdoor installations (having proper drainage-no
standing water) for 3 days by tenting the grouted area (at least
one foot above the surface).
7. Protect grout from stains and chemicals while curing.
LIMITATIONS
• Follow all recommendations and instructions on the
Mohawk
®
Fast Tile
™
Grout
installation instructions for locking porcelain
tile, and industry recommendations.
• Follow setting materials manufacturer instructions if applicable
for mortars, waterproong, anti-fracture membranes, etc.,
used.
• Do not use with river rock or pebble tiles as joints may exceed
1/2".
• Not for use as a setting mortar.
• Not for use in heavy commercial or industrial applications
(i.e., chemical plants, commercial kitchens, commercial
showers, shipping/receiving, service areas, dairies, breweries,
meat packing houses, etc.), or in areas subjected to harsh or
persistent chemicals or enzymatic cleaners, or areas exposed
to aggressive cleaning routines such as pressure washing or
steam cleaning.
• Not a replacement for a waterproong membrane. When
a waterproong system is required under ceramic tile or
stone, consult a professional. When waterproong, ensure
waterproong products are installed over top of mud beds and
underlayments (not under). Use an approved waterproong
membrane on top of mud bed installations before installing
tile or stone. Follow manufacturers’ recommendations for all
waterproong materials. For liquid applied waterproong
materials, apply to within 1" of any drains to prevent weep
hole blockage.
• Do not use on slabs with high moisture emission rates.
• Do not grout when tile surface is above 100°F (38°C).
• Do not use vinegar or acid solutions for clean up during
installation process.
• Do not use for commercial re-grouting or wet environment re-
grouting installations, including showers, steam showers, and
outdoor applications.
• Not for use in steam showers or areas to be submerged in
water (such as pools, hot tubs, fountains or water features).
• Use care when grouting glass, metal or polished surfaces to
avoid scratching. Test on a small area rst. Use of a sealer or
grout release prior to grouting is always recommended on
frosted glass, marble, stone, slate and other natural, porous
or textured tiles.
• Use of enzymatic oor cleaners will void all warranties.
• Caulk all corners/change of plane and necessary expansion
joints with an appropriate caulk after grout has fully cured.
• Long-term exposure to any substance increases the potential
for staining, clean spills or dirt immediately.
STORAGE/SHELF LIFE
1.
Mohawk
®
Fast Tile
™
Grout
can be used for a period of up to
two (2) years from date of manufacture if stored in original
unopened container at temperatures above 32°F (0°C).
2. After opening, Mohawk
®
Fast Tile
™
Grout grout can be saved
for reuse if properly resealed in the original container for up
to two years from date of manufacture. Always wipe the pail
lip clean prior to resealing to ensure proper seal is achieved
with the vapor lock lid.
3. Do not freeze.
