Always replace the drive shaft immediately in case of damage or visible wear, otherwise fur-

ther damage may occur.

It is recommended to lubricate the drive shaft, cardan shafts and other moving parts after 2-3

hours of use. Lubrication also serves as water protection and prevents water from entering the

fuselage through the fabric bushing.

Always replace any parts that show visible wear or damage.

1. Disconnect the coupling between the mo-

tor and the drive shaft.

2. Loosen the set screw on the boat shaft and

remove the boat shaft from the stern of the

boat.

3. Remove the drive shaft by sliding it out of

the fabric bushing. Clean the drive shaft of

lubricating oil and other materials. Then lu-

bricate the drive shaft completely with ma-

rine grease all the way to the drive motor.

4. Tighten the set screw.

5. Carefully replace the drive shaft, making

sure there is 1-2 mm clearance between the

drive motor and the screw strut to allow

enough clearance for heavier weight.

Caution:

Running the boat in salt water is not allowed

and will void the warranty. If the boat has been

driven in salt water, clean it with fresh water

after each use and lubricate the

drive parts.
