PREPARATION
- Shut o the power at the circuit breaker and remove existing xture, including the mounting hardware.
- Carefully unpack your new xture and lay out all the parts on a clear area. Be careful not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
MOUNTING THE FIXTURE (FIG. 1)
1. Remove the top and bottom mounting screws (E1) from the xture.
2. Position the xture’s back plate on the wall and mark the location for the two plastic anchors (C1). Pre-drill holes and insert the plastic
anchors into the wall.
CONNECTING THE WIRES (FIG. 2)
3. Connect the supply wires as shown in Fig. 2, making sure that all wire connectors (A1) are secured. If your outlet box has a green or bare
copper ground wire, connect the xture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the xtures ground wire directly to the mounting plate
using the green screw provided. After wires are connected, tuck them carefully inside the junction box.
MOUNTING THE FIXTURE (FIG. 1)
4. Secure mounting back plate to the junction box using junction box screws (D1). Align with the pre-drill holes where plastic anchor installed
and fasten the mounting plate to the wall using the wood screw (B1). The side of the mounting back plate marked “GND” must face out.
5. Place the xture over the mounting back plate and secure with mounting screws (E1) and gasket (F1).
COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION (FIG. 3)
6. To prevent moisture from entering the outlet box and causing a short, use clear caulking (i.e. indoor/outdoor silicone sealant)to outline the
outside of xture back plate where it meets the wall. Leave a space at bottom to allow moisture to escape.
