PREPARATION
1. Shut o the power at the circuit breaker and remove existing xture,
including the crossbar.
2. Carefully unpack your new xture and lay out all the parts on a clear
area. Be careful not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
CONNECTING THE WIRES (Fig. 2)
3. Remove the mounting screw (A1) and rubber gasket ( D1) from the
xture.
4. Secure mounting plate to the junction box using junction box screws
(C1), the side of the mounting plate marked “GND” must face out.
5. Drill a hole in the wall aligned with the screw tube located on the
xture tail, insert the plastic anchor (G1), fasten the wood screw (I1)
and the iron studs (H1) to the plastic anchor.
6. Connect the transformer input wires with junction box wires as shown
in Fig. 2, making sure that all wire connectors (A1) are secured.
If your outlet box has a green or bare copper ground wire, connect
the xture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the xture’s ground
wire directly to the mounting plate using the green screw provided.
After wires are connected, tuck them carefully inside the junction box.
MOUNTING THE FIXTURE (Fig. 1)
7. Place the xture over the mounting back plate and secure it with
mounting screws (C1) and rubber gasket ( F1).
8. Insert the screw tube to the iron studs, fasten it with Allen screw (F1)
using the Allen Wrench (E1).
9. To prevent moisture from entering the outlet box and causing a short,
use clear caulking (i.e. indoor/outdoor silicone sealant) to outline the
outside of xture back plate where it meets the wall. Leave a space at
the bottom to allow moisture to escape Fig. 3.
