PREPARATION
- Shut o the power at the circuit breaker and remove existing xture, including the mounting hardware.
- Carefully unpack your new xture and lay out all the parts on a clear area. Be careful not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
MOUNTING THE FIXTURE (FIG. 1)
1. Remove set screws (C1) and rubber gasket (N1) from the xture.
2. Drill holes in the wall aligned with the key-hole location in mounting back plate (G1).Insert the plastic anchors (M1) into the wall.
CONNECTING THE WIRES (FIG. 2)
3. Connect the transformer input wires to junction box wires as show in Fig.2, making sure that all wire connectors (A1) are secured. If your
outlet box has a green or bare copper ground wire, connect the xtures ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the xtures ground wire
directly to the back plate (G1) using the green screw provided. After wires are connected, tuck them carefully inside the junction box.
*Requires transformer to be recessed within the junction box.
COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION (FIG. 3)
4. Secure the mounting plate (G1) to the junction box using the junction box screws (B1). Fasten mounting plate (G1) to the wall using the
wood screws (D1). The side of the mounting plate marked “GND” must face out.
5. Place canopy plate (H1) over mounting back plate (G1) and secure with knurled nuts (J1).
6. Fit the outer glass (K1) into the aluminum frame (L1) and place the frame over canopy plate (H1) and secure with screws (C1) and rubber
gaskets (N1)
7. To prevent moisture from entering the outlet box and causing a short, use clear caulking (i.e. indoor/outdoor silicone sealant) to outline the
outside of xture back plate where it meets the wall. Leave a space at the bottom to allow moisture to escape (Fig.3).
