PREPARATION
- Shut o the power at the circuit breaker and remove existing xture, including the mounting hardware.
- Carefully unpack your new xture and lay out all the parts on a clear area. Be careful not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
MOUNTING THE FIXTURE (FIG. 1)
1. Secure the cage (G1) on the back plate (H1) tight with the washer (E1), crew nut (D1) and gasket (F1).
CONNECTING THE WIRES (FIG. 2)
2. Secure the mounting plate (I1) to the junction box using junction box screws (J1). The side of the mounting plate marked
“GND” must be face out.
3. Connect the xture wires with the supply wires as shown in Fig. 2. Make sure that all wire connectors (L1) are secured. If your outlet box has
a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the xture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the xture’s ground wire directly to the
mounting plate (I1) using the green screw provided.
4. Put the xture onto the mounting plate (I1) and secure the mounting screw nut (C1) and gasket (B1) to the mounting screw (A1).
COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION (FIG. 3)
5. To prevent moisture from entering the outlet box and causing a short, use clear caulking (i.e. indoor/outdoor silicone sealant) to outline the
outside of xture back plate where it meets the wall. Leave a space at the bottom to allow moisture to escape Fig.3.
