PREPARATION
- Shut o the power at the circuit breaker and remove existing xture, including the mounting hardware.
- Carefully unpack your new xture and lay out all the parts on a clear area. Be careful not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
CONNECTING THE WIRES (FIG. 2)
1. Secure mounting plate (F1) to the junction box (H1) using junction box screws (J1). The side of the mounting plate marked
“GND” must face out.
2. Place the glass (A1) into the xture Using Allen Wrench (B1) with Allen screw( C1). secure the glass( A1) on the xture tight.
3. Connect the xture wires to supply wires as shown in Fig. 2, making sure that all wire connectors (G1) are secured. If your outlet box has
a green or bare copper ground wire, connect the xtures ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the xture’s ground wire directly to the
mounting plate (F1) using the green screw provided. After wires are connected, tuck them carefully inside the junction box.
MOUNTING THE FIXTURE (FIG. 1)
4. Place the xtures back plate over the mounting plate (F1) and secure with mounting screws (D1) and gaskets (E1).
5. Secure glass into xture using allen screw (C1) by allen wrench (B1).
6. To prevent moisture from entering the outlet box and causing a short, use clear caulking (i.e. indoor/outdoor silicone sealant) to outline the
outside of xture back plate where it meets the wall. Leave a space at the bottom to allow moisture to escape Fig.3.
