4. Set the LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable with the port# and

hostname:

setenv LM_LICENSE_FILE 1650@hostname

where hostname is the name of the license server.

5. Make sure the license server is running, then enter the following command

at the shell prompt to start ModelSim:

vsim
