B. HOW BOILER OPERATES
Mod/Con Condensing Technology is an intelli-
gent system that delivers highly efficient hot
water heating, while maximizing efficiency by
measuring the data parameters of your connect-
ed storage tank. Outlined below are the features
of the system and how they operate:
1. Stainless Steel Heat Exchanger – The highly
efficient Mod/Con Stainless Steel Heat
exchanger is designed to use the cold return
water from the system and extract the last bit
of heat before it is exhausted.
2. Modulating Combustion System – The
combustion system will modulate the output
of the burner during operation to match the
system demand and achieve the control set
point while in operation. The set point can
change by internal or external signals which
enhance the overall performance of the
system.
3. Control – The integrated control system
monitors the system and regulates the fan
speed to control the boilers output. This
allows the boiler to deliver only the amount
of heated energy required and nothing more.
The control can regulate the output of
multiple boilers through its cascade system
function.
