Thanks to the software architecture of MxEasy, it is possible to change various elements
of the user interface (for example, buttons and backgrounds).
You can change the appearance of MxEasy using the menu command. The user
interface can be customized to your needs by changing the *.css file and the graphics files.
An MxEasy skin consists of one or more *.css files and a number of graphics files.
•
The files for the various skins can be found in the subdirectory
of the MxEasy program directory.
•
The *.css files are located in the application file in
while the graphics files are located in
.
Right-click MxEasy.app in the Finder and select from the
pop-up menu to open the directory structure.
For example, create a copy of the file
MxEasy_Eco.css and change the path for
the graphics files. To do so, use a text or CSS editor and save all
*.css files without
formatting ("Plain Text" or "Text Only").
Caution
Make sure to make backup copies of the relevant files before editing any files. Do not
work with the original MxEasy files. Use the copies instead. Knowledge of *.html
and
*.css files is necessary if you would like to create or modify skins.
When editing graphics files, make sure that you do not change the pixel size (width
and height). All graphics files should be saved as a
*.png file, especially if they
contain transparent areas.
