Using Bonjour, MxEasy fi nds not only cameras on the same network as your computer,
). In such
a case, you would not be able to establish any connection to cameras in a di erent
network or subnet (without going into much further details of TCP/IP network confi gura-
tions). This is possible, for example, when a camera with a factory IP address is connected
to a network in which a DHCP server automatically assigns the IP addresses. MxEasy can
automatically confi gure such a camera so that it is "integrated" into your existing network.
To do so, simply highlight the desired camera in the list.
Clicking Next displays a security prompt. If you click OK,
the dialog box for reconfi guring the selected camera
will appear.
If your computer automatically obtains its IP address
from a DHCP server, then this is certainly the best choice
for that specifi c camera and most likely for all other
cameras that have been found in a di erent subnet (the
option). If you have assigned
a fi xed IP address to your computer, you will probably
want to assign fi xed IP addresses (issued by your system
administrator) to every camera (the
option). Normally, you enter the same confi guration used
for the network settings of your computer.
Once you click OK, the selected cameras will be reconfi gured automatically. All reconfi gured
cameras will now be working in the same subnet as the computer and they are displayed
as in the camera list.
