M16 Camera Manual: Operating The Camera
Complete the steps described below in the browser window:
1. Log the camera on and boot it as described in Section 3.2, «First Images and the Most
Important Settings». Depending on the number of sensor modules used, proceed as
follows:
One sensor module:
Proceed with step 2.
Two sensor modules:
In this case, the remaining steps need to be executed sepa-
ratelyforeachsensormodule.Specifyeachsensormodule’sinstallationposition
separately in the Installation (right) and Installation (le)QuickControlelds
fortherightandlesensormodule(i.e.,cameraimage),respectively.Ifyouneed
to use the OnScreen Control (see next section), click into the corresponding sub
image when viewing a dual image or show the image of only one sensor module.
2. Selectinstallationpositionwall/ceiling/oor: Click Installation in the Quick Control
panel and then select Wall, Ceiling or Floor according to the installation position of the
camera. Ceiling always means that the orientation of the camera or sensor module is
from
top to bottom
and for Floor,thecameraorsensormodule’sorientationisfrom
bottom to top
.
As a result, you will get a
perspective-correctedpanoramaview for each image sen-
sormatchingthespeciedinstallationposition.Panoramaviewisconguredasthe
factory setting and it can be changed as described below.
3. Switch to the DisplayMode Quick Control.
4. Set the mode that you want to be the standard view. For demonstration purposes,
the descriptions below describe the typical display mode for the wall mount and the
ceiling mount, Panorama and Surround respectively. Every other display mode can
be operated in the same way.
