3.3.4 ReplacingtheDomeAgainsttheSealingRing(B016Only)
For special scenarios with hemispheric sensor modules, e.g.,
iflightenteringfromthesidecreatesreectionswithinthe
dome, you can use the sealing ring instead of the dome
(order no. MX-OPT-Ring-L10-L12).
To exchange the dome against the sealing ring, use the blue
lens wrench supplied with the S15D basic module.
Caution
In order to avoid burns by the hot lens, the sealing ring must not be installed if
the sensor module is within the reach of persons!
Procedure
1. Insert the blue lens wrench into the notches of the
dome. Rotate the wrench
tothele until you feel a
stop (max. 300°) and then a little bit further until the
dome slides out of the sensor module. When doing
this, make sure that the dome does not get stuck in
the sensor module housing.
2. Turn the wrench over, insert the two notches into the
slotsofthelens’metalringandunscrewthelensuntil
you can remove it from the sensor module.
3. Insert the lens into the sealing ring as shown.
4. Fullyinsertthelensintothesealingbypressingrmly
on two sides of the lens, until the metal rim of the
lens is on the same level as the sealing.
