Replacing the MicroSD Card
2.6 ReplacingtheMicroSDCard
The camera must be taken down to remove, insert, or replace a MicroSD card in use. To avoid
dataloss,besuretodeactivateMicroSDcardrecordinginthecamerasowareandreboot
the MOBOTIX camera before removing the card.
Caution
AMicroSDcardmayonlyberemovedfromthecameraaeryouhavedeactivated
recording to the SD card and rebooted the camera. Failing to do so may lead to data
loss! Make sure that the card is not write-protected!
Procedure
1. Deactivate recording : Recording to the SD card must be deactivated (AdminMenu>
StorageonExternalFileServer/FlashDevice). If the MicroSD card recording is still
active, deactivate recording, reboot the camera and then disconnect its power supply.

2. Open camera housing: Open the camera housing as described in Section 2.2.2.
3. Remove connection cable from the inner cover of the housing : Remove the con-
nectorofthesensorcableandtheI/Ocable(redclips)aeropeningtheclipcatches.
RemoveEthernetcableandanyconnectedMiniUSBcableaeropeningthebayonet
catch. Remove MxBus cables. Make sure the front element with the sensor modules
does not fall down.
4. Remove inner cover : Remove the four lock screws on
the inner lid (red arrow) using the supplied 2.5-mm
Allenwrenchandcarefullyliothelid.
Make sure that the interconnections between the
inner lid and the circuit board are not damaged
when removing the inner lid.
The MicroSD card is located at the bottom in the center
of the circuit board.
Make sure not to touch the circuit board when
replacing the MicroSD card!
