a. Shortcut key entry
From the Home screen you can enter the phone book directly by pressing the down navigation key.
b. Selecting SIM or local storage
By default the phone will store and display entries in the SIM. You can switch this to the local phone storage
choosing the Select book option in the phone book menu. After selecting the storage only the entries in the se-
lected book are displayed and available for use.
c. My number
Displays the number associated with the SIM card in the phone
d. Memory Usage
Displays the storage information for both the SIM and local phone books.
e.Entering a contact
i. Entering the number
From the phone book menu select the Add new entry option. This brings you to the dial screen. Use the naviga-
tion and left soft key to highlight and select digits. When the number is complete press the volume up key to enter
the edit mode and the left soft key becomes (OK). Press the left soft key and this will place you in the text entry
mode so you can add an alpha tag to the number.
ii. Tagging a number with a name
Refer to the entering text section for more detail. Use the navigation and left soft key to highlight and select
characters. When complete, press the volume up key to enter edit mode and the left soft key becomes (OK).
Press the left soft key and the entry will be stored in the phone book.
f. Managing entries
You can manage the entries in the phone book once they are stored. After entering the phone book use the
navigation keys to highlight an entry. Pressing the left soft key (options) will provide the options listed below:
i. Send a message
Selecting this will place you into text edit mode to enter a text message.
ii. Change
Selecting this will place you into the entering a contact mode where you can edit the number or the associated
alpha tag. Follow the procedure outlined in the Entering a contact section of the phone book.
iii. Details
Displays the information for this entry

b. Character options
Press the down volume key to change the character choices. You can choose from lower case letters, upper case,
numbers, and special character symbols.
c. Editing Text
To enter the text edit mode press the up volume key. You will notice that the green area on the top of the display
turns grey and the cursor now moves to this area. Now you can delete or insert characters to the text.
i. Deleting a character
Position the cursor on the character to the right of the one you want to delete, and press the right soft key.
ii. Inserting a character
Position the cursor on the character that you would like to insert in front of and press the volume up key again
to get back to character selection mode.
