Where to Plug in your Microphone

Microphone sockets on computers are often marked differently. Here are

some tips on nding it:

Windows computers:

• Often pink in colour.

• Possibly marked with a symbol of a microphone with or without

radiating lines.

• Possibly marked with the word ‘MIC’.

Apple Macintosh computers:

• Usually have a built-in microphone.

• Possibly marked with a symbol (often a circle with an arrow on each

side).

• Possibly marked with a symbol like an old fashioned announcer’s

microphone.
