1. Determine weather you would like to set Bump Steer on Jack Stands or
at Ride height.
2. Position car at desired height.
3. Attach Bump Plate to Hub assembly.
4. Jack suspension to simulate proper front end geometry at ride
height (always start Bump Steer procedure from this position).
5. Place Bump Steer tower assembly so dial indicator(s) is
approximately compressed half of its travel.
6. Turn indicator faces so both needles are aligned with zero.
7. Using your hydraulic jack raise or lower your suspension 1 inch
at a time. The difference registered in the dial indicator(s) is
the Bump Steer for that inch of travel.
General Rules of Bump Steer
1. RF is usually checked through 3" of compression & 1" of rebound.
2. LF is usually checked through 2" of compression & 2" of rebound.
3. When in doubt, set you Bump Steer as close to zero as possible.
A slight Bump out condition is better than a Bump in condition.
4. The rougher the track, the more critical the Bump Steer becomes.

CONSULT YOUR CHASSIS MFG OR A CHASSIS SET - UP
PUBLICATION TO DETERMINE THE PROPER
BUMP STEER FOR YOUR RACE CAR.
