Getting Started

This section is designed to get you started enjoying your new
Projection TV. If you follow these procedures one by one, you will
soon begin discovering everything your television can do.
You'll find information on:
• Using the remote control to operate VCRs, cable boxes,
and other equipment,
• Turning the Projection TV on/off,
• Selecting the input source,
• Changing channels,
• Understanding the ViewPoint III on-screen menus,
• Memorizing channels,
• Setting the clock,
• Adding and deleting channels,
• Setting the A/V Network,
• Adjusting the color alignment,
• Selecting the menu type,
• Renaming the inputs,
• Naming the channels,
• Locking A/V functions,
• Adjusting the sound,
• Adjusting the picture, and
• Using the closed caption decoder.
Don't leave stationary images, such as stock market reports, video
games, station logos, or the Projection TV's displays, on-screen for
more than 10 minut:es. Still patterns such as these can scar the
Projection TV, causing permanent damage to the picture tubes.
