7- The "Acknowledgement" and "Reply requested" options:
These options are common to all template messages:
Ø Acknowledgement: This option is used to obtain information about the result of
your transmission. The message may have been forwarded to the contact or it may
have been discarded by the network if its period of validity has expired or due to an
overload in the network.
Ø Reply requested: This option is used to ask the contact to reply to the message
you have forwarded to him. In this case, the cost of the reply will be charged to you.
- To activate or deactivate these options:
1- Open the Mailbox application.
2- Click on Tools.
3- Click on Options.
4- Click on SMS* in the list of services.
5- Use the checkboxes to activate or deactivate Reply requested and
Acknowledgement options.
PLEASE NOTE: Your choice is applicable to all your SMS messages, regardless
of which template you have used.
• Receiving and reading new incoming messages
You can be notified of the arrival of new SMS messages in several different ways:
Ø Your Mondo emits an audible signal (bleep).
Ø The screen back-lighting is temporarily activated.
Ø The message indicator lamp at the top of the Mondo emits a series of (slow)
orange flashes.
Ø The standby screen of the Telephone application is displayed (if it is open).
Ø The symbol is displayed on the screen. This symbol is followed by a figure
indicating the number of SMS messages received.
- To read the new received SMS messages:
1- Click on the Read function key in the standby screen of the Telephone application.
2- Click on the header of the message you wish to read.
• Composing and sending a new SMS message
- To compose a new message:
1- Open the Mailbox application.
2- If the SMS message mailbox does not automatically open on the screen, click on
Services at the base of the screen, then click on SMS in the list of optional services.
3- Click on New, on the left at the base of the screen, in order to display the screen for
composing the new message.
4- Either enter the telephone number of the contact in the To: field or select the
number from your address book by clicking on at the base of the screen (the
address book only shows contacts with one or more completed e-mail fields. Select
the contacts who have a mobile telephone number in the E-mail3 field).
PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to send your message to a number of contacts, insert a
semicolon between their telephone numbers.
5- If you wish, enter the subject of your message in the Subj: field (if it is left blank,
the beginning of your message will automatically be entered in the field).
