Turning on/off the voice mail alert tone
If you wish a tone to sound alerting you of the receipt of a voice mail message,
Calling the voice mail centre to check for messages
There are two ways:
• To dial the voice mail centre directly after the receipt of a message,
• Alternatively,
Dialling will proceed as for a normal call.
Phone settings
Keypad lock
When keypad lock is turned on it prevents accidental operation of the keys
and access into the menus. The key tones are also silenced and the back-
light is deactivated.
Keypad lock is suspended during incoming calls and resumed when the
call is terminated. Emergency calls can still be made. If a key is pressed the
display will give a reminder that keypad lock is on.
To turn the keypad lock on and off,
Language selection
All the display messages can be shown in several languages.
Select Number. When prompted enter the number manually or
from a stored memory.
Press OK to validate your entry.
Press Exit or to return to the standby display.
If you subscribe to the 'Line 2' service the voice mail centre number will need to be stored separa-
tely for that line. The voice mail number is automatically assigned to speed dial location number 1
(see Speed dialling on page 28).
Press . Select Settings.
Select Voice Mail.
Select Alert. Select On or Off.
Press Exit or to return to the standby display.
Press and hold down .
Press . Select Settings.
Select Voice Mail.
Select Call.
If a voice mail number has not been stored when Call is selected you will be asked to enter the
voice mail number. Proceed as described in Storing a voice mail centre number, page 25.
When the keypad is locked the backlight may be switched on by pressing the side shuttle key
downwards.
Press . Select Settings.
Select Phone settings. Select Keypad lock to turn keypad lock on.
To unlock the keypad, press Unlock then the key.
