3 After washing with water/lukewarm water, dry
the air fi lter well in the shade.
• Do not expose the air fi lter to direct sunlight or heat
from a fi re when drying it.
4 Install the air fi lter.
1 Remove the air fi lter.
CAUTION
When the air fi lter is to be removed, do not touch the
metal parts of the indoor unit.
This may cause an injury.
2 Remove dirt from the air fi lter using a vacuum
cleaner or by washing the fi lter with water.
• If the dirt is noticeable, wash the fi lter with a solution
of mild detergent diluted in lukewarm water.
• If hot water (50°C or more) is used, the fi lter may be
deformed.
Open the front
panel, then
remove/replace
the fi lter.
Air fi lter
Remove.
Install.
What is “Catechin air fi lter”?
The air fi lter is dyed with a natural material, catechin, that is contained in tea. The catechin air fi lter deodorizes
odor and noxious gases such as formaldehyde, ammonia, and acetaldehyde. Moreover, it restrains the activity of
the viruses adhering to the fi lter.
Air cleaning fi lter
1 Remove the air fi lter.
2 Remove the air cleaning fi lter (White bellows
type).
3 Install a new air cleaning fi lter.
4 Install the air fi lter and securely close the
front panel.
Optional parts Optional parts are available from your local dealer.
Air cleaning fi lter
• If the air cleaning fi lter is clogged, it may lower the unit’s capacity or cause condensation at the air outlet.
• The air cleaning fi lter is disposable. The standard usable term is about 4 months. However, if the colour of the fi lter turns
to dark brown, replace the fi lter at once.

When the capacity is lowered because of dirt, etc., it is necessary to replace the air cleaning fi lter.
