i MakingaCopyofaTape
There are two basic ways to make a copy of a tape. One way is to
use the HS-U560 to play a tape and use another VCR to record.
The other way is to use another VCR to play a tape and the
HS-U560 to record.
Whichever method you choose, you will need one RCA audio and
one RCA video cable to connect the two VClq:s. If you do not have
these cables, they are available at your local electronics retailer.
And remember, it is illegal to make copies o1'copyrighted
material. In this secl;ion you'll learn:
• Using your HS-U560 to record from another VCR, and
• Using your HS-U560 to play back to another VCR.

Connect one RCA audio cable to the AUDIO
OUTPUT terminal on the other VCR.
Connect the other end of this cable to the
AUDIO INPUT terminal on the HS-U560
]abeled L/MONO. If the other VCR is mono,
this is the only audio connection necessary.
O [fyou attached the com::ection cables to the
back of the HS-U560, m;e the INPUT buLton
to set the HS-U560 to External 1 (L1). If you
attached the connection cables to the front of
the HS-U560, use the INPUT button to set
the HS-U560 to External 2 (L2).
_, If the other VCR has stereo outputs, connect
another RCA audio cable to the AUDIO
OUTPUT terminal of the playback VCR.
Connect the other end of this cable to the
AUDIO INPUT terminal on the HS-U560
(labeled R).

Connect a video cable to the VIDEO
OUTPUT terminal on the playback VCR.
Connect the other end of this cable to the
VIDEO INPUT terminal on the HS-U560
(labeled VIDEO IN 2).
If the other VCR is a Hi-Fi deck, set the
audio monitor to "STEREO."
Put a blank tape into the HS-U560 and find
the place where you want to begin recording.
Press STOP.
Put the tape you want t,) copy into the other
VCR and find the place from which you want
i;o begin copying. Press STOP.
O On the ItS-U560, press REC, then PAUSE.
O On the other VCR, press PLAY, then PAUSE.
_) Release t:he PAUSE button on both VCRs at
the same time.
O 'When fin:ished, press STOP on both VCRs.
