When you use skip search, the VCR will thst forward or :rewind
(without picture) through the tape, showin_r you short sections of
the tape wherever it finds an. index mark. Skip search only works
if there are index marks recorded on the tape.

Press the MENU button on the remote :ontrol. The '_VCR
Main Menu" will appear on your screen. Use the ADJUST
dial to move the cursor :next to "Advanced Features." Turn the
shuttle ring right. ("Advanced Features" are not available if
there is no tape in the VCR, or if the VC,R is recording.)
O The "Advanced Features"' menu will appear on the screen.
Use the ADJUST buttons on the remote control to move the
cursor next to "Skip search." Turn the shuttle ring right.
The VCR will fast forward until it finds an index mark. Then,
it will show the tape in visual forward speed search for about
five seconds. Then it will fast forward again, looking for the
next index mark.

If there is no tape loaded in the VCR, or if the VCR is recording,
you will see an error message indicating that this feature is not
available. Load a tape into the VCR or stop recording.
Press PLAY when you see the section you are looking for.
Press REW to reverse the direction of the skip search.
Press STOP or PLAY to cancel skip seaech.
Skip search will only find index marks recoeded more than three
minutes apart in the forward direction; skip search will only find
index marks recorded at least ten minutes apart in the reverse
direction.
UsingtheActiveAN NetworkFeatures
The Active A/V Network is a benefit of certain Mitsubishi TVs
and VCRs. The Active A!V Network allows you to use many of the
commonly used features of your system at the press of one button.

your VCR must be connected to External 1 (EXT-1) of a
Mitsubishi TV with Active AJV Network; (pages 15-17)
you must have turned on video mute (page 34);
you must have turned on the Active tW Network setting
on your TV;
you must have set the VCR remote mode to VCR-A; and
you must have connecl_ed a cable from the Active A/V
Network OUT terminal of the TV to the Active AAr
Network IN terminal of the VCR (page 17).
