_Important:
Erase index mark
Find the section that
includes the index mark
you would like to erase.
Press PLAY,
then press REC
before the index mark.
Press MENU for Main Menu

_Important:
If there is no tape loaded in the VCR, if the VCR is recording, or if
the tape has had its erasure tab removed, you will see an error
message indicating that this feature is not available. Load a tape
into the VCR, stop recording, or place a piece of tape over the
erasure tab to correct this.
You will see the "Erase Index Mark" menu (left). Without
exiting the menu% use the INDEX SE_RCH buttons to find
the index mark you wish to erase.
O When the index _aark has been located, and playback has
begun, press STOP.
O Rewind the tape for a few seconds, then press STOP.
O
Press the PLAY button, then the REC button on the remote
control. The index light (T) on the fluorescent display will
light up. When the index mark is found, _;he index light (T) on
the fluorescent di.splay will flash, and the mark will be
erased.
0 When the index mark has been erased, press STOP.
When you erase an index mark from a tape, you cannot hear the
sound on the mono track.
usingrepeatplayback
You can play back a section of tape over and over using the
following procedure. The tape will play until the next index mark,
rewind to the previous index mark, and resume playing. If there
is only one index mark on the tape, then the VCR will play or
rewind to that mark and resume playback. 1Ethere is nQ index
mark, the entire cas,_ette will repeat.
O
Press the MENU button on the remote c_ntrol. The '%rCR
Main Menu" will appear on your screen. Use the ADJUST
dial to place the cursor next to "Advanced Features." Turn the
shuttle ring right. ("Adwmced Features" are not available if
there is no tape in the VCR, or if the VCR is recording.)
The "Advanced Features" menu will appear on the screen.
Use the AI)JUS__? dial on the remote con_ro! to move the
cursor next to "Repeat play." Turn the slmttle ring right.
When the VCR encounters the next marker (or the end oCthe
tape), it will automatically rewind to the!: previous mark and
begin playback.
If there is no tape loaded in the VCR, or if' the VCR is recording,
you will see an error message indicating [hat this feature is not
available. Load a tape into the VCR or stop :recording.
Press the STOP button to cancel the repeat.
