O Press POWER to turn the VCR on.

Press the MENU button on the remote ccntrol. The "VCR
Main Menu" appears on your screen. Use the ADJUST. dial on
the remote control to move the cursor next to "Program to
record." Turn the shuttle ring right.
O You will see the _:recap" screen. Use the td)JUST dial to place
the cursor next to the program you wish to cancel.
O Press the CANCEL button. The program is erased.
O Press the MENU button once to return to the Main Menu;
press it again to turn off t:he menus.
usingtheTIMERRESETbutton
You can use the TIMER RESET button on tile rear panel to erase
both the time and al:[ programmed recordings.
To use the TIMER RESET button, press it with a pencil or a ball
point pen. The powe:r will turn off and the cl _ck will reset. All
programmed recording is erased.
Additionally, the TIMER RESET button will reset the on-screen
language you selected. The next time you use the menus, you will
have to select the on-screen language. (See page 26.)
correctingprogrammingerrors
If, after programming, you forget to load a tape, or load a tape
with its erasure tab removed, then the pro_'ammed recording
light and the tape status symbol will flash. A tape without an
erasure tab will be ejected. To correct this, load a tape with its
erasure tab intact, and turn off the VCR.
memory backup
If the VCR is without power for 30 minutes or less, it will retain
the time and the programmed settings, provided the VCR has
been plugged in for at least an hour beforehand. If the power is
out for more than 30 minutes, the time and the programmed
settings will be lost.
