You won't have to complete all of the connections you see in this chapter -- make only those connections that apply to your equ:pment. However, the monitor is automatically set to MONO if you are watching a tape that was not recorded in VHS Hi-Fi.

If you use the POWER button on the front panel for this purpose, you will have to press it twice.
Auto speed programming is only available in the first programming slot. In this first slot, the recording speed is set to AUTO automatically. If you want to use auto speed programming in this programming slot, you don't need 1_ochange anything. _Important: Make sure that the "Tape" video function matches the kind of tape you are using. (See "Selecting and adjt_sting the audio and video functions" on page 27.

After about five minutes in the still or slow-motion mode, the VCR will automatically stop to avoid damage to the tape. Depending on the type of TV you are using, tlae picture may vibrate vertically when you pause the VCR's picture.
To continue PROGRAM also resume automatic tracking, press the ONE KEY button on the front panel. _Important: Erase index If there the tape message into the erasure is no tape loaded in the VCR, if the VCR is recording, or if has had its erasure tab removed, you will see an error indicating that this feature is not available. Load a tape VCR, stop recording, or place a piece of tape over the tab to correct this. You will see the "Erase Index Mark" menu (left). Without exiting the menu% use the INDEX SE_RCH buttons to find the index mark you wish to erase.

Chapter4: UsingtheAdvancedFeatures i Makinga Copyof a Tape There are two basic ways to make a copy of a tape. One way is to use the HS-U560 to play a tape and use another VCR to record. The other way is to use another VCR to play a tape and the HS-U560 to record. Whichever method you choose, you will need one RCA audio and one RCA video cable to connect the two VClq:s. If you do not have these cables, they are available at your local electronics retailer.
Using your HS-U560to playback to another VCR [ PLAYBACKI = 2- ® tit AOO,OOO v,o -- oo t _ VIDEO IN AUDIO OUT R_ O O O Connect one RCA audio cable to the AUDIO INPUT terminal on the other VCR. Connect the other end of this cable to the AUDIO OUTPUT terminal on the HS-U560 labeled L. If the other VCR is mono, you need a Yadapter to hear audio on both channels. If the other VCR has stereo inputs, connect another RCA audio cable to the AUDIO INPUT terminal of the other VCR.
