To optically brighten or darken projected
images (IRIS):
IRIS is a function that controls the lamp light by
opening or closing the iris to optically adjust the
contrast. This projector is equipped with IRIS1 for
HC8000D or IRIS for HC7900DW which automatically
controls the iris according to the images to be
projected, and IRIS2 for HC8000D only, which
selectively focuses on the brightness or the contrast.
IRIS1 for HC8000D or IRIS for HC7900DW has four
modes as follows.
AUTO 1
When there are white images in an entirely dark scene,
black is automatically deepened.
AUTO 2
In comparison with AUTO 1, black is made blacker
automatically.
AUTO 3
This mode provides deeper blacks than the other
modes.
OFF
The IRIS1 for HC8000D or IRIS for HC7900DW is kept
fully opened.
IRIS2 has two modes as follows.
HIGH BRIGHTNESS
The fixed iris opens, increasing the brightness.
HIGH CONTRAST
The fixed iris closes, increasing the contrast.
