Installation Procedure
The fl owchart below shows the setting procedure for startup via PUM parameter loader.
1:1 connection
Connection permission for an enhanced communication module should be set to "1: PUMC connected (RS-485 disable)" with
all temperature control modules of the system. (Control/Event/Analog module)
When setting parameters for a programless communication module, connect PUM parameter loader to it directly.

Connect the temperature control module performs communication with PLC on the right of the programless
communication module.

It is for power supply to the connection between a programless communication module and PLC, and a
programless communication module. Turn OFF all the power of the equipment or any other modules, when wiring.

Configure the St. No. of a programless communication module.

Configure St. No. to “0” by using the St. No. configuration switch on the front face.

Prepare a PC where PUM parameter loader has installed and a loader connecting cable to connect PC, a
programless communication module and a temperature control module.

Loader soft preparations for PUM

Set the “enhanced communication module (PUMC) connection permission” parameter of the temperature
control module connected to a programless communication module to “1: PUMC connected (RS-485:
disable)”.
See Instruction Manual "Parameter loader for multi-loop module-type temperature controller (PUM)" for
PUM parameter loader connection method and parameter setting.
* When setting parameters of a temperature control module, connect PUM parameter loader directly to the
loader communication port on a temperature control module.
In the case of a single-unit connection, connect PUM parameter loader directly to a single unit, and in the
case of connection of connected units, connect PUM parameter loader directly to the module set as
"Master" with "connected modules master/slave setting" parameter.
