2.1 System Con guration Example
INP-TN5A0202-E
Distributed placement of module temperature control system is possible by 1:N connection.
Control or Analog I/O module station number (“1” to “16”)
For proper communication, station number con guration is required. Set the leftmost module to “1” and set the rest of
modules to “2” to “16” consecutively starting from the left. Make sure not to duplicate station numbers in the system.
Event I/O module station number (“17” to “32”)
Event I/O module station number always starts from “17” and be set to the rest of unit consecutively form “18” to “32”. Make
sure not to duplicate station numbers in the system.
To use a programless communication module, “connection permission of enhanced communication module (PUMC)”
parameter should be set to “1: PUMC connected (RS-485:disable)” with the PUM parameter loader.
Note
MELSEC-FX series can not perform communication with 1:N connection.
1:N connection of RS-232C can not be con gured.
When MC protocol is type 4, 1:N connection is not possible.
When using 1:N connection, PLC communication setting should be matched to the settings of all programless
communication modules.
