Error Procedure
Troubles during operation
If troubles occur during operation, check the type of your module, its connection and parameter setting for any abnormalities.
Refer to the user’s manual for MELSEC-Q/A/AnS/FX series about PLC.
The dialog below shows the typical troubles and the solutions on their problems.
Troubles Causes Solutions
PWR indicator: No light
(even if turning the power ON)
No power supply with the main unit Check the power supply wiring is installed
Supply voltage is out of the allowable
range
Use the power supply conforming to the
main unit specifi cations
Main unit failure Replace the module.
PWR indicator: RED light
The power of PLC is OFF Turn on PLC
Connection failure
Check the RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485
connection between the DIP SW 1
(selection of RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485) of
programless communication module and
the communication unit of PLC
Check the signal conductor between the
programless communication module and
the PLC
Connecting cable failure
Check the connection of the connecting
cable
Check the connecting cable break
Check the signal conductor wiring of the
connecting cable
