Overview
An Enhanced communication module, PUMCM is for enabling MELSEC-Q/A/AnS/FX series (hereinafter referred to as PLC)
produced by Mitsubishi’s Electric Corporation (hereinafter called PLC) and a multi-loop module type temperature controller, PUM
series, to communicate each other using programless communications.
Programless communication is the communication method that enables to read out /write the data inside the temperature
controllers (PUM series) from the PLC without making ladder programs on PLC.
There are 2 types of connection method with an enhanced communication module PUMC. One of them is 1:1(single)
connection that connects a single unit of PUMCM to the communication port on PLC. The other is 1:N (multi-master)
connection that connects up to 8 units of PUMCM to the communication port on PLC.
Using side connectors for the enhanced communication module, PUMCM, or the temperature control module(PUM series) are
connected enables a wiring to only one power terminal and a labor saving wiring.
