Setting the timer
This special feature allows you to program the TV to turn on
automatically at a time and channel that you set. To set the timer:

Press the MENU button on the
remote control. The Main Menu
will appear on the screen.
Use the ADJUST buttons to
select "Ad.vanced Features."
Press ENTER.
You will s_ee the "Advanced
Features _'screen. Use the
ADJUST buttons to select
"Set the Timer." Press ENTER.

Use the .4D JUST buttons and
the ENTER button to set Day
(Mon-to-Fri, Everyday, Sun-
Sat), Start time, and C,hannel.
After setting the timer, the indica-
tor will blink in green when the
TV is turned[ off.

If you press the CANCEl, button
while setting the timer, tlhe arrow
will move to the previous item. To
clear the timer, press CANCEL
with the arrow next to "Day."

You need to set the TV's clock first before you can set the timer.
See "Setting the clock" in Chapter 3.
When the timer turns the TV on, the display will flash. If you do
not press any function buttons for about 5 minutes, the TV will
automatically turn off. Press a function button (such as the INFO
button) to keep the TV on and turn off the flashing display.
