Using the remote control to operate VCRs, cable

Sometimes manufacturers will change their proctucts, or they may
use more than one code. If this is the case, your remote may not be
able to operate your VCR or cable box.
When you replace the batteries in your remote control, the remote
will usually return to its initial setting. You may need to set up
your remote again.

disc player or DVD player
After you have set up your remote control for your ]aserdisc player or
DVD player, you can use the remote to operate it.
O Use the select switch on the remote control 1;ochoose the layer
that you set up to operate your |aserdisc player, AUDIO or
DVD.
O Point the remote control at the laserdisc player and press the
desired buttons.
You can use the POWER, CHANNEL, numbers (0-9), INFO,
MENU, CANCEL, STOP, PAUSE, REW, PLAY,, carsor ( ),
and FF buttons to operate your disc player.

After you have set up your remote control for your AiV receiver, you
can use the remote to operate it.
O Use the select switch on the remote control to choose the layer
that you set up to operate your receiver: TV cr AUDIO.
It is recommended that you set up :your A/V receiver in the AUDIO
layer as well as the TV layer. If you set up your remote control for
your A/V receiver in the TV layer, you will only be able to control
the VOLUME and MUTE functions.
Point the remote control at the A/V receiver and press the
desired buttons.
