Customizing the A/V memory ,,settings (cont.)
Important:
The Level Sound selection allows you 1;oenable the TV to auto-
matically equalize the volume level of programs that contain
significant sound level differences from one segment to another; for
example, from regular programming to commercials. To receive the
best audio fidelity for music programs, it may be desirable to turn
this setting off.
For proper tone and volume balance, you may wish to turn off the
TV's speakers when using an external audio system.
_Important: Set the surround setting to "OFF" when using an A!V receiver with
Dolby _ Pro Logic Surround.

Adjusting the audio functions
You can adjust the audio settings for any A/V memory position
using the MENU or AUDIO buttons on the remote control.
access with the MENU button
O Press the MENU button on the
remote control. The TV Main
Menu will appear on the screen.

Press ENTER/EXCH. The five
A/V memory positions will
appear. Select the A/V position
by pressing the ADJUST up/
down buttons. Press ENTER/
EXCH twice to display the
setti]_gs for the selected audio
mode.
O The audio settings for the
selected A/V memory position
are displayed. Use the AD-
JUST up/down buttons to select
the setting to change. Do NOT
pres:._ ENTER/EXCH.
