Setting the A/V Network
The A/V Network is a system that Mitsl:.bishi developed to make it
easier to operate many products with one remote control. When
the A/V Network is connected between two Mitsubishi products,
you can point the remote control at the television and it will "pass"
the remote control command to the othe:c. In addition to passing
the remote control signal, Active A/V Network will automate the
TV's input selection and the playback of Mitsubishi VCRs into a
single command. To set up the A/V Network, follow the steps below.

O Pres_s the MENU button on the
remote control. The Main
Men_ will appear on the screen.
O Use _:he ADJUST buttons to
select "First Time Setup".
Press ENTER/EXCH.
Use ADJUST to select "Set A/V
Network", then press ENTER/
EXCH.
O Use the ADJUST buttons to
select "Active" ,"Basic", or "Off'.
Check the rear terminals of
your VCR, then use the chart
below to determine how you
shoui[d set your TV.
If your VCR has a rear
terminal that reads:
A/V Network
Active A/V Network
Active A/V Network
Does not have an A/V
Network rear terminal
...and you have set your
VCR to:
off
Active
...then set your TV to:
Basic
Basic

Press the ENTER/EXCH or MENU button to return to the
"First Time Setup" menu. Press HOME to exit all menus.If
you are not sure how to set your VCR's A/V Network setting,
refer to your VCR's owner's guide.
The A/V Network can still be used to pars remote control signals
even when the TV's "A]_VNetwork" setting is "Off'.
If you do not use the AJV Network systeJ:a, set "A/V Network" to
"Off'. If you don't, channel selection may not work correctly.
If you select Active or Basic A/V settings, make sure your Mitsub-
ishi VCR with an A/V Network or Active A/V Network connection is
connected to Input-1 and the A!V network cable is in place.
