Adjusting the color purity - Mode].s CS-36509,
CS-36609 and CS-40509 ONLY

Because your Mitsubishi color television ha s a large-screen picture
tube, the earth's magnetic field can produce discolored patches on
the edges of your screen. The controls you 'will be using to adjust
the color purity are two switches, one labeled DIRECTION and the
other STRENGTH. These switches are found on the front control
panel of models CS-36609 and CS-40509 and on the back connec-
tion panel of model CS-36509. To correct color purity, follow these
instructions:
OTurn off the TV set.
ODetermine the compass direction where the set is facing.
The direction is determined from the front of the screen
facing forward.
OSelect the position for the DIRECTION switch according to
the chart below.

Important:
OTurn the TV on, and check the color performance.
If color impurity is still present, change the STRENGTH
switch to position 'T'. If there is still impurity, wait a
few minutes, then press the DEGAUSS button on the
control panel.
You must adjust the color purity switches each time you
move the set to a new location.
If there is still color impurity after adjusting the
switches, please contact your Mi_subishi Authorized
Warranty Center.
Color impurity can also be caused by unshielded speakers and
strong magnets. Move these items away fl'om your TV.
