TV+stereo audio system
t>Important:
You may want to hear the sound from your TV and/or VCR through
your home audio system. To do this, comp]ete the necessary con-
nections shown on previous pages of this chapter, then follow the
procedure on this page.

• 1 set of RCA pin-type audio
cables

0 Connect one end of RCA pin-type audio cables to the AUDIO
OUTPUT terminals on the back of the 'television. Use the red
cable to connect the right (R) channel and the white cable to
connect the left (L) channel

Connect the other ends of this cable to the AUX IN terminals on
the back of the audio system.
Turn offthe television's speakers. To do this, turn on the TV.
Press the MENU button on the remote control. The Main Menu
will appear on the screen. Press ADJUST • to move the menu
cursor next. to "Audio Select." Press ADJUST • and the Audio
Select menu will appear. Press ADJUST • to move the raenu
cursor next to "Speaker." Press ADJUST • to select °OFF."
Press MENU to return to normal TV viewing.
O Set the audio system's input to the AUX position. See your
audio system's owner's guide.
For proper tone and volume balance, turn off the TV speakers when
using an external audio system.
