• DO NOT DISASSEMBLE VALVE FOR ANY REASON. CONTACT FACTORY FOR DISPOSITION
• Rotate flats on swivel type seal cap using adjustable wrench. Turn 90 degrees against the mechanical
stops. Align OPEN arrow with refrigerant line for non-directional flow. Turn clockwise to close.
• Seal cap nut uses a 1-1/8” wrench – Stem Cap located under Seal Cap Nut uses 3/8” wrench
o Note: Seal Cap Nut is factory set for proper torque value for correct operation and should not need
adjustment when installed
• This valve contains mechanical stops DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE AGAINST STOPS OR
PERMANENT DAMAGE MAY OCCUR.
• Follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions when connecting valves to system and refrigerant
piping, and when evacuating system and testing for leaks.
• Remove protective shipping plugs before connecting to equipment.
• Properly tighten the flare connections and be careful not to over tighten. Use a torque wrench and
tighten to approved level. Make sure Schrader Cap is tight.
• Apply a small amount of refrigerant oil to the flare face during installation for a proper and long lasting
seal. This will help ensure protection against leaks.
• Install the insulator carefully, seal using adhesive flap provided. Tie bands may be used for additional
security.
• Never allow contaminants to be introduced into the valve or piping.
• “One Year Warranty” against defects in materials and workmanship from date of purchase.
• For use with CFC, HCFC, and HFC Refrigerants listed in CAN/CSA B52 and ANSI/ASHRAE 15, Sect. 9.2 where
the saturation vapor pressure at 125º F (High Side) and 80º F (Low Side) is less than the maximum design
working pressure. After charging, mark unit with Refrigerant Type and Oil Type.
