Using a thickness gauge, check the clearance at
various positions.
If

reading exceeds the service
limit; replace
both
rotors..

0.15 mm (0.00591 in.).

this limit

grind

the mating face

the body

reduce
the clearance.

Inspect the shaft for damage, and check it
for
wear by miking. Determine the available clearance
of
the shaft

the pump body from the mike
readings; if the service limit in terms

clearance

exceeded or
if
the shaft
is
in badly
dam-
aged
condition, replacement
is
necessary.
