SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAUTION Do not step on an unstable bench to operate or clean the unit. • This may cause injury if you fall down. Do not pull the power cord. • This may cause a portion of the core wire to break, which may cause overheating or fire. Do not charge or disassemble the batteries, and do not throw them into a fire. • This may cause the batteries to leak, or cause a fire or explosion.

PREPARATION BEFORE OPERATION Before operation: Insert the power supply plug into the power outlet and/or turn the breaker on. Installing the remote controller batteries 1. Remove the front lid RE SE T CL K OC 2. 3. • • • • • Insert AAA alkaline batteries Install the front lid Make sure the polarity of the batteries is correct. Do not use manganese batteries. The remote controller could malfunction. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Replace all batteries with new ones of the same type.
• OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS • SELECTING OPERATION MODES AUTO mode (Auto changeover) The unit selects the operation mode according to the difference between the room temperature and the set temperature. During AUTO mode, the unit changes mode (COOL↔HEAT) when the room temperature is 4°F (2°C) away from the set temperature for more than 15 minutes. Note: • During multi system operation, the unit may not be able to switch operation mode between COOL and HEAT. In this case, the indoor unit becomes standby mode.
FAN SPEED AND AIRFLOW DIRECTION ADJUSTMENT Vertical airflow direction (AUTO) The vane is set to the most efficient airflow direction. COOL/DRY:horizontal position. HEAT:downward position. (Manual) For efficient air conditioning, select upper position for COOL/DRY, and lower position for HEAT. During COOL/DRY, when the vane is set to position (4) or (5), the vane automatically moves to horizontal position after 1 hour to prevent water dripping. (Swing) The vane moves up and down intermittently.
• OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS • ECONO COOL OPERATION Press during COOL mode page 5 to start ECONO COOL operation. TIMER OPERATION (ON/OFF TIMER) 1 Press (ON timer) : The unit performs swing operation vertically in various cycle according to the temperature of the unit. Set temperature is set 4°F (2°C) higher automatically. Press • Pressing 2 Press (Increase) and time of timer. Press during COOL mode page 5 to start POWERFUL COOL operation.
CLEANING Instructions: • Use only diluted mild detergents. • Do not expose parts to direct sunlight, heat, or flames to dry. • Do not use water hotter than 120°F (50°C). • Switch off the power supply or turn off the breaker before cleaning. • Be careful not to touch the metal parts with your hands. • Do not use benzine, thinner, polishing powder, or insecticide.
• OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS • WHEN YOU THINK THAT TROUBLE HAS OCCURRED Even if these items are checked, when the unit does not recover from the trouble, stop using the air conditioner and consult your dealer. WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER IS NOT GOING TO BE USED FOR A LONG TIME 1 Set to the highest temperature in manual COOL mode, and operate for 3 to 4 hours. MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD CUIDADO No se suba sobre un banquito inestable para sostener la unidad o limpiarla. • Si se cae podría hacerse daño. No tire del cable de alimentación. • El núcleo del cable de alimentación puede desconectarse y provocar calentamiento y un incendio. No cargue ni desmonte las pilas y no las arroje al fuego. • Esto puede provocar una fuga, un incendio o una explosión. No utilice la unidad durante más de 4 horas a alta humedad (80% HR o más) y/o con ventanas o puertas exteriores abiertas.

Durante el modo AUTOMÁTICO, la unidad cambia el modo (FRÍO↔CALOR) cuando la temperatura ambiente se aparta 4°F (2°C) de la temperatura de ajuste durante más de 15 minutos.
VELOCIDAD DEL VENTILADOR Y AJUSTE DE DIRECCIÓN DE FLUJO DE AIRE Dirección veritical del flujo de aire (AUTO) El pala se fija en la dirección más eficaz del flujo del aire: posición horizontal. (Manual) Para un acondicionamiento de aire eficaz, seleccione la posición superior para COOL/DRY. Durante COOL/DRY, cuando el pala se fija a la posición (4) o (5), el pala se mueve automáticamente a la posición horizontal después de 1 hora para evitar la filtración de agua.

ACCIONAMIENTO POR EL TEMPORIZADOR (TEMPORIZADOR DE CONEXIÓN/DESCONEXIÓN) 1 La unidad ejecuta la operación de balanceo verticalmente en varios ciclos según la temperatura de la unidad. La temperatura preestablecida se fija en 4°F (2°C) más automáticamente.
LIMPIEZA Instrucciones: • Desconecte la corriente o desconecte el interruptor antes de realizar la limpieza. • Tenga cuidado de no tocar partes metálicas con sus manos. • No utilice gasolina, disolvente, polvo de pulimentación, ni insecticidas. • Utilice sólo detergentes blandos diluidos. • No exponga partes directamente a la luz del sol, calor o llamas para secar. • No utilice agua más caliente de 120°F (50°C).

MESURES DE PRECAUTION PRÉCAUTION Ne pas monter sur un support instable pour faire fonctionner ou nettoyer l’unité. • Vous pourriez tomber et par conséquent vous blesser. Ne pas tirer sur le cordon d’alimentation. • Le fil central du cordon d’alimentation pourrait se détacher et provoquer une surchauffe ou un incendie. Ne jamais recharger ou démonter les piles ni les jeter au feu. • Les piles pourraient fuir, provoquer un incendie ou une explosion.

PREPARATIFS D’UTILISATION Avant utilisation: insérer la fiche d’alimentation dans la prise secteur et/ou enclencher le disjoncteur. Installation des piles de la télécommande 1. RE Retirer le couvercle avant SE T CL K OC 2. 3. Insérer des piles alcalines AAA Replacer le couvercle avant • S’assurer que la polarité des piles est correcte. • Ne pas utiliser de piles au manganèse. La télécommande pourrait mal fonctionner.
● NOTICE D’UTILISATION ● SÉLECTION DES MODES DE FONCTIONNEMENT Mode AUTO (changement automatique) L’unité sélectionne le mode de fonctionnement en fonction de la différence entre la température de la pièce et la température définie. En mode AUTO, l’unité change de mode (REFROIDISSEMENT↔CHAUFFAGE) lorsque la température de la pièce diffère de 2°C par rapport à la température définie pendant plus de 15 minutes.
RÉGLAGE DE LA VITESSE DU VENTILATEUR ET DE LA DIRECTION DU FLUX D’AIR Direction verticale du flux d’air (AUTO) L’ailette est réglée pour une direction du flux d’air la plus efficace possible : position horizontale. (Manual) Pour une climatisation efficace, sélectionner la position supérieure pour le mode REFROIDISSEMENT/DÉSHUMIDIFICATION.
● NOTICE D’UTILISATION ● REFROIDISSEMENT ECONOMIQUE (ECONO COOL) Appuyer sur en mode REFROIDISSEMENT page 25 pour lancer le fonctionnement en mode de refroidissement économique (ECONO COOL). FONCTIONNEMENT EN MINUTERIE (MINUTERIE MARCHE / ARRÊT) 1 (Minuterie d’arrêt) Qu’est-ce que le “REFROIDISSEMENT ECONOMIQUE (ECONO COOL)”? Une soufflerie d’air pivotante (avec oscillation du sens de la soufflerie) rafraîchit davantage qu’un flux d’air constant.
NETTOYAGE Instructions: • Utiliser seulement des détergents doux dilués. • Ne pas exposer directement les pièces au soleil, à la chaleur ou aux flammes pour le sécher. • Ne pas utiliser d’eau dépassant 50°C. • Couper le disjoncteur ou l’alimentation avant le nettoyage. • Ne pas toucher les parties métalliques avec la main. • Ne pas utiliser de benzine, de solvant, de poudre à polir ou d’insecticide.
● NOTICE D’UTILISATION ● EN PRESENCE D’UNE PANNE POTENTIELLE Si les points mentionnés ci-dessus ne permettent pas de rétablir le fonctionnement normal de l’appareil après constat de l’anomalie, arrêter le climatiseur et consulter le revendeur. SI L’APPAREIL DOIT RESTER LONGTEMPS INUTILISE 1 Régler sur la température maximale en mode REFROIDISSEMENT manuel et laisser fonctionner pendant 3 ou 4 heures.
