Digital input modules
The digital input modules of the ST
series direc tly connect field devices
(contac t s, limit switch es, se ns ors, etc. )
on to a PROFIBUS/DP ST series slave
node.
Digital output modules
The digital output modules of the ST
series connec t directly to field devices
(e.g. contactors, valves, lights) and
PROFIBUS/DP master module.
The TPE3 models provide advanced pro-
tection functions e.g. for thermal and
short circuit failures.
The electronic modules are fitted in a
base module, which can b e installed on
a standard DIN rail. Each module can be
replaced without having to turn O FF the
power ("Hot Swap"), without rewiring
and without using any tool.
