Preparation for installation Install the monitor on a flat, level, stable surface where the screen is easy to view. (For installation using the option stand.) Fully insert the prongs into the power outlet socket. Loose connection may cause noise. Using the SCREEN settings in the OSD menu, you can adjust the horizontal/vertical position, clock, clock phase, zoom mode, CUSTOM ZOOM, horizontal resolution, and vertical resolution.

When the monitor is connected with a computer using an optional CAT5 Kit (option), the CAT5 Tx BOX is connected to the CAT5 Rx BOX through RS-485, which makes longer-distance remote control possible.

Configuration and basic operation of OSD screen Configuration of OSD screen This monitor is equipped with the OSD (On Screen Display) function for easy screen adjustment. The OSD function allows you to control the menus displayed on the screen for brightness setting and other settings. The OSD screen is configured as shown below. CONTRAST MAGENTA YELLOW You can adjust the contrast. Adjust the contrast using the PLUS (+) or MINUS (-) button to obtain a desired result. NOTE: Brightness changes luminance of the backlight. Contrast changes signal levels, and therefore it is likely to lead to whiteness.
OSD screen functions (continued) GAMMA SELECTION You can select the gamma mode from NATIVE, S GAMMA, 2.2, 2.4, OPTION, and PROGRAMMABLE. PROGRAMMABLE can change the GAMMA characteristic curve via a computer. Contact your dealer for further details. NOTE: GAMMA is fixed to 2.2 in the sRGB picture mode. When PROGRAMMABLE has been selected, the setting for color temperature is fixed at 10,000K (NATIVE). PICTURE RESET You can reset all the PICTURE settings to the factory defaults.

Assign arbitrary ID number to each of multi-connected LDT551V monitors using MONITOR ID. ID numbers 1 to 26 are selectable. It is recommended to assign sequential ID numbers from 1 and up. 2.
