to confirm the selected
function.
If a function only has one quick-
switch option, it is operated by this
key. Active settings (ON) are indi-
cated by a “ ” next to the relevant
item; inactive settings (OFF) are indi-
cated by a “-”.
Softkey: Esc
Press the
Esc
softkey briefly to exit
the section of the menu currently
displayed. You will then see the se-
lection from the previous menu or
the current idle or call display.
When you navigate within the menu
and press and hold the
Esc
softkey
the menu closes and the telephone
is in idle state again.
Softkey: Redial

Allows you to select a telephone
number from the redial list.
Softkey: Menu
A long key press in the idle state dis-
plays the main menu. Here you can
edit all the phone settings. The indi-
vidual menus are explained in the
chapter entitled “Main” Menu start-
ing on page 56.
A short key press invokes a menu
that depends on the handset’s state.
This menu only displays the relevant
operations that can currently be per-
formed.
Automatic Hide
Menus are automatically hidden
under the following circumstances:
Whenever you receive a call
while your phone is in the idle or
call state.
In the call state, when you per-
form input that requires invok-
ing a new, call-dependent menu
(e. g. you press the R-key
R to
make an enquiry).
If you press a softkey that in-
vokes a menu other than the
one currently displayed.
If you are in a menu and a caller
calls you, the caller hears a busy
signal. A menu is exited auto-
matically if for a period of time
no input is made.
