Node Programming Procedures
Program the network in the following order:
1. Local Node Number
2. Nodes
3. T1M or T1M-2 modules set up for T1/PRI or E1/PRI
4. Node Trunk Groups
5. Node Trunk Lists
6. Off-Node Devices
Local Node Number
To program a node local node number and description:
1. Make sure you have the PRI software license.
2. In System\Devices and Feature Codes\Nodes, program the local node number and the
local node description. This causes the system to reset, and you will have to re-establish
the DB Programming connection.
Nodes
To program each of the nodes:
1. In System\Devices and Feature Codes\Nodes, create the Node.
2. Set the remote node number to the destination node.
3. Name the node (for example To Node X).
4. Repeat for all nodes.
T1M or T1M-2 Modules
To program the T1M or T1M-2 modules:
1. Program the module bays and corresponding ports, then program B-channels and
extension numbers for the circuits.
2. Select the port to program, then set the ISDN Switch Type to Private Network. This will
automatically place the trunks on this port in a node trunk group.
3. Set the Remote Node Number to the node where the T1 span will be connected. (This
span can also be used to route calls to other nodes, through the remote node, if the
remote node is properly programmed.)
Node Trunk/IP Connection Groups
To program the node trunk/IP connection groups:
1. In System\Devices and Feature Codes\Node Trunk/IP Connection Groups, select the
node trunk group.
2. Name the node trunk group, set outgoing access assignments.
3. Repeat for the remaining node trunk/IP connection groups.
