8. Configure the DEM-16 ports in the DEI where it is installed. Select the desired ports to
change. Selecting multiple ports enables a batch change selection. When an appropriate
selection is made, the Change button is enabled.
9. Click Change to access the
first dialog box shown at
right.
10. Select the device type to
install in the selected
port(s), then click OK.
11. Select the starting
extensions for each device.
If this is a batch change,
this will be the starting
extension and subsequent extensions will be numbered sequentially after this extension.
The dialog box in
step 6 on page 6-94
shows the results of
programming
several ports with a
few of the
configuration
options.
12. Click Next. If the
second chassis (DEI
# 2) was configured
with DEM-16
modules, the next
dialog box shows
the circuit
configuration for that
page. Repeat step 8
on page 6-95
through step 11 for
the remaining DEIs. Otherwise, the Finish page appears.
The finish page shows all the configuration changes made to the system during the
current Configuration Wizard session. These changes will not be implemented until you
click Finish.
13. Click Finish to complete the wizard. See the DB Programming online Help for
information on manually adding and configuring the DEIs and DEM-16s through the
Communication Server folder.
