Programming Digital Expansion Interface (DEI) Units
The dialog boxes below show the DEI Expansion Module Installation for DEI (1) and DEI (2).
Similar to the Expansion Module Setup page for the Communication Server, these pages allow
you to quickly provision the expansion modules in the DEI chassis bays.
DEI bays are displayed in the Expansion Bays panel, as shown in the dialog boxes above. After
adding the number of DEM-16s to the system, a subsequent page allows you to configure those
circuits before moving on to the next DEI chassis (if equipped) in the system.
When the page initially appears, the Expansion Bay panels are populated with any expansion
bays already installed in the DEIs. If the DEIs contain no expansion modules, these dialog
boxes are empty.
