Programming Expansion Modules
The following procedures provide programming instructions for the expansion modules that can
be installed in the Mitel CS-5200/5400/5600 Base Server. From the Expansion Module
Installation page, you can access subordinate pages to program the following modules:
• Dual T1/E1/PRI module
• T1/E1/PRI module
• Two-port/Four-port Loop Start Module
• Basic Rate Module
• Four-port Single Line Module
To set up the Expansion Module Installation page:
1. Select a module from the Expansion Modules pane and click the Add >> button to place
it in the Expansion Bays pane. One expansion module can be added to any of the three
expansion bays in the Mitel CS-5200/5400/5600 Base Server. To relocate a module to a
particular bay, select the module and click the Move Up or Move Down button.
2. Select one of the expansion modules in the Expansion Bays pane and click Next. The
<Expansion Module Type>: Circuit Configuration page appears. Continue with
configuring the circuits as described in the following sections.
NOTES
Consider the following ideas:
• You cannot configure or modify modules that have already been
configured in the system.
• If you intend to configure a T1/E1/PRI module for PRI use, you must
have the PRI software license, part no. 840.0227.
• If you intend to configure a Dual T1/E1/PRI module, you must have the
Additional T1/E1/PRI port software license, part no. 580.2702. This
license is not applicable to single-port T1/E1/PRI modules.
