To add an IP Single Line Adapter:
1. Select Inter-Tel IP Single Line Adapter, and then click OK to open the Batch Create
Inter-Tel Single Line Adapter dialog box.
2. Select a Starting Extension from the list of available extensions.
3. Enter the Number of Extensions using the arrows or by selecting and entering a value.
Clicking the down arrow removes extensions from the list. Clicking the up arrow adds
extensions to the list.
4. Click any device with a red “X” and enter a valid MAC address. If desired, click Browse
and import the MAC addresses from a batch file. This batch file can be a simple text file
consisting of a list of MAC addresses. If the program only needs 20 address from the list,
it takes the first 20.
5. After you have typed MAC addresses for all IP single line adapters you added, click OK,
and then do either of the following:
• Add additional IP single line adapters, or other IP devices (see the following
sections).
• Or, click OK.
6. When finished with setting up IP devices, click Next on the IP Device Setup page. The
Expansion Module Installation page appears. See page 6-80.
To add a Model 8602 IP Softphone:
The Model 8602 IP softphone can be added to the IP Device Setup so that a softphone may be
configured through the wizard interface.
1. Select Inter-Tel IP Softphone, then click OK to open the Batch Create Inter-Tel IP
SoftPhone dialog box.
2. Enter the Number of Extensions using the stepper arrows or by selecting and typing a
value. Clicking the down stepper arrow removes extensions from the list. Clicking the up
stepper arrow adds extensions to the list.
3. Click any endpoint with a red “X” and type a valid Device ID for the IP Softphone. For
example, 86.02.36.00.10.01. If desired, click Browse and import the Device IDs from a
batch file. This batch file can be a simple text file consisting of a list of Device IDs. If the
program needs 20 only address from the list, it takes the first 20.
4. After you have typed the Device IDs for all the IP endpoints you added, click OK.
5. Do one of the following:
• Add more IP endpoints.
• Or, click OK.
6. When finished with setting up IP devices, click Next on the IP Device Setup page. The
Expansion Module Installation page appears. Continue to page 6-80, or continue to the
pages that follow to program other devices.
NOTE
For troubleshooting purposes, use the extension number as the last digits of
the Device ID.
