WIZARD INTERFACES
Wizard interfaces in DB Programming allow you to quickly program different parts of the system
without having to navigate to separate areas in DB Programming.
For information on the Networking Wizard, refer to the Mitel 5000 Features and Programming
Guide, part number 580.8006.
The Configuration Wizard
The Configuration Wizard allows you to quickly configure a system with enough basic
information to get the system up and running. The Back button on the wizard screens allows
you to return to a previous screen to modify programming.
NOTICES
System Performance. Where appropriate throughout this programming chapter, the fol-
lowing should be performed after hours when system usage is at a minimum (for example,
after normal business hours).
Imports (with a large database, especially with off-node devices). For example,
performance can also be affected when other nodes export to the local node.
DB backup saves (with a large database, especially with off-node devices).
Paging to a large number of endpoints.
All-ring hunt groups to a large number of endpoints.
Abusive/intention actions (user runs a “die macro” on their endpoint).
Change extension logic (DB Programming performs a batch modify/delete extension
(the larger the database, the slower the action).
To receive technical assistance from the Mitel Technical Support group, DB Program-
ming users must have earned the following certifications:
Mitel
®
5000 Basic Technical Certification
Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) Convergence Technologies Professional
(CTP) certification
If you do not have these certifications, Mitel Technical Support will assist you, but one
Technical Support Incident (TSI) will be charged.
IMPORTANT
To complete programming through the Configuration Wizard, you must click
the Finish button on the last screen. Changes and/or additions made in the
wizard do not take effect until you click Finish on the final Wizard screen.
